Long-form trance-y rhythmic jams, with a fun shambling edge, sounding like a cross between music from Africa's Sahel region crossed with a Tom Waits instrumental... Jascha Narveson
I’ve been looking for this band! Psychedelia at its absolute finest......it takes its time, spacious interludes abound, and lots of atmosphere. Interesting tidbits here and there, distorted, pleasing vocals. They obviously don't take themselves too seriously either, but man, this is the real tripped out serious deal. I am hooked. If Wooden Shjips traded their sails for a prairie schooner, this is what you might hear them playing around the campfire at night on the Great Plains: homespun country-rock with a hint of psychedelia. Wonderful stuff, from start to finish. neu-mann
