Lute FP Stunningly gorgeous soft rock, bringing to mind some kind of homogenization of the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and the Bee Gees. The music is a textured backdrop for the lush, poignant vocals. And while I called it soft rock, the slide guitars give it a hint of country, and tho the music is mellow the vibe is so melancholic as to almost be considered edgy.

ipchrist A late discovery, but still a top-10 record for 2020 for me. Great songwriting, excellent arrangements (the vibes and the pedal steel are outstanding). I was reminded of the Jayhawks, Tim Buckley, Gram Parsons... you get the point - outstanding!

Nick Storring For me this is Dunn's finest song record thus far, offering beautifully intricate, loosely-woven arrangements and sweet but vaguely melancholic melodic turns. Doc's decision to highlight the vibraphone and pedal-steel give this set a golden hue that matches perfectly with the unseasonably warm autumn into which it was released. <3

Ayal Senior A classic album for theses times & the ages if I ever heard one. Heals the soul and rocks the heavens. Heather Leigh calls it 'devotional cowboy music', I call it GOLD. a KEY inclusion in the ever expanding 'Doc' Dunn universe. It'll still be a CLASSIC in a hundred years.
